The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program facilities employers in Atlantic Canada to hire skilled workers from abroad who want to immigrate to Atlantic Canada. This Pilot Program also applies to international graduates who may wish to stay permanently in Canada after their graduation is complete.

There are 3 different programs that employers in Canada can use to hire someone. These are:

• Atlantic International Graduate Program
• Atlantic High-skilled Program
• Atlantic Intermediate Skilled Program

Each program has its specific requirements that need to be met by both the employer and the potential employee. Before a job offer can be initiated, the employer must be authorized by the provincial government of the Atlantic province where the employee will be working.  Once the job offer has been made, both the employer and the candidate will work through several steps to ensure that all the requirements are met, before the candidate can get permanent residence status in Canada.
